Emotions

Has anyone experienced severe emotion swings while on the cleanse? I know it is mentioned in the book but I was looking for some more info. As I have not experienced this I was hoping one of you who has more experience with this might be able to help. I had a succesful 18 day MC, with not many side effects so I can not be much help to my friend. She on day 5 and is experiencing some serious emotions, she is easily brought to tears, and is wondering if anyone else has experienced this and what if anything can be done. .
