einstein believed strongly that nature itself is God. in other words, all that order and purpose floating around that we can see, feel, touch, experiment with, etc. is something we can feel spiritual about.

the complexity of a molecule indicates complex circumstances. self-reproduction and survival over a billion years would be a very complex circumstance.
