My husband and I did some research a while back about inulin. It's whats known as a prebiotic. One that feeds the probiotics. I think it's a bit controversial. Some say the fos that occurs in the inulin feeds ALL bacteria, not just the good. I bought some that does not contain the fos made from chicory from a distributor named Duncan Crow. He posts sometimes on other Health Forums . I tried it, but it made my stomach swell something awful! It scared me so I stopped taking it. I was thinking recently about it though, and maybe I just have so many bad guys it was really going to town? Not sure. Anyway, there's some pretty interesting research around about it.
