Re: Satisfy your cravings: Let me eat cake
To be clear. I am not suggesting eating chocolate cake, but eat whatever you crave.
Problems come, not from indulging our cravings but from over-eating.
Another trap is to eating something we "know" we like in order to feel good. This can be a food we have craved in the past. Only eat when you *feel* like eating it. Smell it: only eat what smells really good, and then only eat while it tastes fantastically good.
When we satisfy our cravings, we feel really good. When you start eating something you crave it will feel good only up to a point. If you eat more "because there's only a bit left" or beacuse I enjoyed the first slice, therefore I will enjoy the second or because "it needs eating up" "because it would go to waste otherwise", then you are simply not listening to your body.
You are not a dustbin for the other half of the chocolate cake once you have eaten too much.
The advantage of this approach is that you don't cut out foods your body would benefit massively from, but are not eating because somebody else told you that you should do. Also you will tend to avoid toxic foods like soy and non-foods like supplements.
If your vitamins smell bad or you forget to take them then it is a sure sign your body isn't interested.
This is only a suggestion, it's up to you what you choose to do.
