If you are going to have sugar, a high quality Sugar like organic maple syrup will probably be a lot better for you than the refined stuff. If it tastes better it is better.
I found I stopped eating maple syrup after a while, but still had some sultanas and raisins.
Maple syrup and a nice high fat yoghurt can be delicious. Maybe the acidophilus in the yoghurt protects the Sugar from the candida. If you have candida you can be starved of carbos because the candida eats it all. Perhaps this is a good way of getting some.
