Re: RAW GRAINS -- possible easy source... also, question for forum re: raw eggs
hi there,
i didn't actually think any grains that aren't sprouted are raw, as the starch/sugars are supposed to be complete different when they're growing as opposed to dried, but I would love to know!
in the meantime, I'm fairly sure that the grains used by homebrewers are comparatively untouched, as you can get such things as whole wheat berries, etc. plus, they sometimes carry dried elderberries for wine makers which sound delish... i came across this stuff in looking for a cheap source for potassium carbonate to alkalinize my body -- seems it's what they use for alkalinizing wine, too. I paid $1.69 for four oz, bought two
pounds total and a couple of other things as well to meet the minimum order which was ten or fifteen bucks.
My question: raw eggs can supposedly be substituted for the cottage cheese in the budwig flax cottage cheese cancer protocol as they're also sulphur proteins, but i had terrible
parasite problems in the past so can anyone tell me if eggs can be eaten raw? the next best raw compromise would be really kefirred kefir cheese because there would at least be tons of live stuff in it, but i just started kefiring and don't yet have enough grains.
Any other raw sulphur protein ideas?
