Re: How come some people say there is a test for candida and some say there is no such thing?

I don't know how some posters seem to have found someone to say they have candida ( through blood tests, etc.. ) because I've never found any doctor who would even acknowledge it's existence! They just won't. So I can't help you there. I wouldn't worry too much about stuff like that or it'll make you crazy-I've been there. If you take Dr. Crook's candida questionare and score high, and have EVER taken broad spectrum anitbiotics, then I'd assume I have candida.

As for the milk products, they do contain a lot of sugar. Some people do ok on very small amounts though, if they're not allergic. You'll have to see how you react. Fruit is usually avoided too because of the high ( natural ) Sugar content. Many pople are able to add it back tho after a short while. Some cannot. If you can't do without your fruit, try granny smith apples, blueberries, cranberries and the other less sweet ones. Oh, and Nutrasweet is NEVER ok for anybody! Please avoid that.

What you're going to find in all this is that everyone is different and you'll need to make your own plan for your recovery. It's not a one size fits all program. I've been fiddling around with this for years and am finally making some headway. Hope you feel better soon!
