Re: Candida may not be the problem

talk about impetuous. you remind me of me. yes, I have some thoughts.... and they are mostly cautionary. from what i have read on the boards - people are starting with ALA doses around 12.5 mg and working up over the course of a year or so. might be better to stop and wait for the book to arrive before carrying on. you should def. stop if you feel increasing psychological symptoms.

did you have fillings out recently?

most people do start with either DMSA or DMPS to lower plasma and body burdens of Hg before going for the brain Hg with the ALA.

there are, of course, different approaches. some people do ALA alone, but i think they start slow. i think i read on the boards somewhere that if Cutler were to re-release his book his books he'd talk about lower ALA doses.

this is a process that takes YEARS - you don't just jump into it. i could be misreading the protocol and misremembering the stuff on the board, and it might be fine to start with 100mg, but it sounds like a rather large dose to me.

at least go to the frequent dose chelation yahoo group and post and tell them what you're doing and how you're feeling and ask whether to continue. if you put Andy's name in the post title - allegedly he will respond to you - although there are other knowledgeable folks on there.

I don't want to scare you (actually, I DO want to scare you), but go to http://www.dmpsbackfire.com to read some stories of permanent neurological damage done by stupid chelation protocols to previously healthy people!

also, it is essential to take the supplements like milk thistle (protects the liver) and selenium (don't do selenomethionine - do the yeast selenium instead) and vit E and C etc. i hope you're taking that stuff.

oi vey Johnny - be careful. and please keep me posted!

good luck,

Candilass
