Re: Caused some of my own problem DOn't do what I did
My own experience is similar to your description: the candida diet slows it's progress but doesn't stop it. My Candida has progressed in spite of my very strict diet. Antifungals seem to stop it for as long as I'm taking them but as soon as I stop taking them, the Candida returns at the same level it was at before--in no more than 3 days. Probiotics have no effect for me.
So, in my experience, these things maybe only contribute to a solution, they are not a solution in and of themselves. In addition, antifungals are hard on your system--apparently they also kill the good bacteria whose job it is to keep the Candida in check! And I've tried them all: Master Cleanser, Raw Food diet, Fruitarianism, Meditation, Affirmations/visualizations, Oregano Oil, Coconut Oil, Vitamins, Caprylic Acid, B&P shake, Liver cleanse,
parasite cleanse, Canesten, Diflucan, etc, etc, etc.
My latest attempt is the Homeopathic Pleomorphism. Although I'm only one month into the treatment it seems promising. There was an immediate effect with a genuine reversal of the Candida's progress. It then returned, when the treatment progressed with a different remedy, but it came back differently...it feels fragile(?) or less robust(hard to describe). The third phase is a stepped up version of the first phase (that was so effective) and will begin in a few days. I'll report on it's success or failure when I'm sure.
As a measure of progress, the blood is being examined under a "darkfield microscope." You can actually see the various stages of Candida.
Anyhow, I'm hopeful, but it's too early to report success.
