stomach pain & baking soda

Hi. I wonder if anyone can tell me what they think is going on with me?

I have been following an anti-candida diet for a few months now and have been feeling really good.

About a week ago I developed stomach pains after eating and they have been bothering me on and off ever since. Not pleasant.

I tried everything to soothe my stomach - apple cider vinegar, aloe vera juice - but nothing worked until I tried baking soda. It seems to have done the trick.

Does this mean I am overly acidic? (I thought the theory was that people with Candida usually don't have ENOUGH acid in their stomachs???)

Anyway, any input would be appreciated. Thanks
