Re: nystatin - does it work? I'm taking it. only works if you stick to diet

Well put obj. This is what I have read. I am taking Nystatin now and it does seem to help although nothing helps if I stray from "the diet". The other day I thought I would just check to make sure that I am not imagining this whole thing and I ate a piece of Banana Bread. I haven't bloated for at least a month but after the Banana Bread, I paid for it; bloating which lasted for 2.5 days which gradually subsided as I ate my usual anti candida fare and tightness in the stomach and little pains inbetween my naval and sternum. I was so mad at myself for that moment of weakness. It gets old eating the same stuff over and over. To live for buckwheat pancakes. Ah, but it is the little things!

Anyway, my holistic doc prescribes the Nystatin to take 3 500000U, at bedtime, which I have been doing now for several weeks. Sometimes it feels like the yeasty areas in my mouth (have thrush on tongue, inner cheeks and maybe gums) are sloughing off little by little and my mouth even gets a little sore and it seems that the Nystatin is mainly responsible for this happening even though I also rotate garlic, SF722, GSE, Oreganso Oil during the day.

I just ordered some EM from Magnolia's friend and I am hoping that will make a difference.
