I understand what you mean about the diet thing. That's a tough one for me. I can agree not to eat donuts, cakes and processed sugars and foods etc., but I can't see going the rest of my life not eating fermented cabbage, mushrooms, fresh fruit, or certain cheeses once in awhile. The thing is that while I want to concentrate on eating mostly whole foods raw or prepared in a healthful way, and eat minimal or mostly no dairy products, I still don't want to obsess over diet. I believe that controlling Candida (for myself) may be more of adding good things that are beneficial to my diet, rather than taking good things away. (For example, brewers yeast and mushrooms are healthful foods)
I notice that a lot of people heavily restrict their diets on the forum, but they really never get rid of the Candida. I'm not sure if the diet thing is quite right, but of course everyone is different. I think that antifungals and types of cleansing would be more helpful in eliminating Candida.
Personally, as far as my yeast infections go, I believe my main problem has been way too many Antibiotics over a long period of time!
