Re: Help me - I'm feeling so lost! Struggling!!!!!!!!!
You have a lot of things to deal with and my best advice is to choose one and act on it. It's too difficult to do everything at once, as you well know, and you end up doing nothing.
Over five years ago, I finally quit smoking...I was also at about 2 packs a day. I had tried quitting numerous times, but each time I quit, I started gaining weight so I started smoking again. Finally I decided weight be damned, I was going to quit. I put on about 30 pounds, but for me, it was the only way I could concentrate on not smoking.
About 7 months after my quit, when I was comfortable as a non-smoker, I changed my way of eating, cutting out most processed foods, etc. A month or two after that, I started to exercise, a little at first, slowly increasing it. I did lose all the weight and for the first time in my life, I'm at an okay size without smoking.
It's easy to get caught up in all this information - I realized that if I took this or that herb for whatever issues I might have, I'd be broke or constantly taking herbs! So I picked one main thing to try to work on for now - PMS and food cravings - and I'm trying
Liver Flushes and everything related to that. My weight, mood swings, irritation, etc. are related to that I think anyway.
That's part of my story - I don't know if it will help, but I could relate to you as I also am almost 43, pitta, O positive, easily irritated and have cravings. You've come to the right place here -- Shelley is so knowledgeable and supportive...a gift to us all!
Best of luck, Laura
