Re: Vitamin A

Hi Susie! :)

Cod liver oil is best by itself, it DOES taste fishy. You can buy it lemon flavored, I haven't tried that yet but I bet it would help.

Flax seed oil is fantastic for Omega 3's but not vitamin A. Seeds don't tend to be good sources of A. Eggs and liver and raw whole milk are the best sources of vitamin A, and in the plant world, sweet potatoes, yams, butternut squash and carrots. But tthey don't have A per se, they have beta-carotene, which needs fats to turn into A.

Folic acid is a B vitamin, and all of the B vits are essential for healthy development. But taking a folic acid supplement may not be important now, what would be a better way to get your B's would be to have the Protein Shake (recipe in FAQ) with extra eggs, after buying free-range omega rich eggs. That way is tasty, healthy, easily absorbable and usable by the body, and BALANCED. :)
