Re: Test Results
Hey Ned,
well the key that I found is in thinking about what really causes a candida overgrowth to begin with. Candida as I'm sure you know is a natural and healthy component of our natural flora, and it needs to be there. The problem is when it overgrows. But why does it over grow. Well, yeast like candida respond very closely to their environment. When your body's pH levels are in balance, and the oxygen levels are right, then the candida naturally takes it's place as about 1/100th of your natural flora mass. However, if you body becomes too acidic and the oxygen level is low, then the candida responds to this environment change by growing and reproducing more rapidly. The byproducts of this reproduction and growth is more waiste from the candida which is acidic and toxic, and thus feeds right back into the imbalance. What solved the problem for me was not to try and kill the candida directly or anything like that, but simply to change it's environment. To restore the pH balance and increase the nacient oxygen level so that the candida would naturally resume it's place and balance as part of the natural healthy flora. It's been about 6 months since I started and my pH levels have been stable right where they should be (saliva 7.4, urine between 6.8-7.4, but will have more variability than saliva). Most of the candida and acid related symptoms were gone in the first month, many in the first week. I learned about all of this from reading Dr. Robert O. Young's books "the pH miracle" and "sick and tired? reclaim your inner terrain." I have been using the supplements he designed, supergreens (restoring the body's mineral/alkaline stores), and prime pH drops (increasing available nacient oxygen). You can find some of the basic information at Dr. Young's website at www.thephmiracle.us .
