I think I know what you mean, but not sure. Is it sort of an anticpation type feeling (for lack of a better word)?

I don't have any clear solutions, but you might try avoiding certain foods? Does it happen all the time, or more during certain times of your cycle. You may keep a journal, and it will help you identify a link.

One thing I get is urinary pressure or urge to pee immediately before my period, but it only happens if I eat wheat during that time.

I hope this gives you something to consider and maybe even helps.

Oh, and about doctors. I ONLY use them in an emergency and sometimes to help with diagnosis. Otherwise, what a shame how wasteful that whole system is.
