A lack of trace minerals is widespread in modern society, and is NOT helped by taking calcium or magneiusm supplements. A lack of Trace minerals like molybdenum and lots of others, if lacking in the body, CAUSE THE BODY TO BE ACIDIC.
From what I've read so far, ionic forms of the trace minerals are best absorbed. There are many brands of ionic trace mineral supplements out there. I'm about to start comparing brands and trying them on myself.
