I had my gallbladder taken out laparoscopically 2 weeks ago today. I still am having a terrible time going to the bathroom. I don't want my body to become dependent on laxatives, but this is an awful feeling, and I'm afraid I'm going to end up back in surgery with impacted bowels.
Has this happened to any of you, and, if so, what did you do? I saw the surgeon today, but all he did was admire his handiwork - he had no time to pay attention to my concerns or questions. I despise dealing with doctors. This is why we all end up here - our doctors won't give us the answers we need. How do you get more than 5 minutes with a doctor. I timed him today - exactly 5 minutes, and he spent most of that reiterating what he told me in the recovery room the day of surgery.
