Re: Freedom from Judgement

One never needs to do what others demand from us, even if we believe we need to; the choice always remains with us. If we are accused by someone of having done something wrong or bad and feel the need to defend ourselves, then, in fact, there is guilt caused by such actions in this or other lifetimes. It is simply being resurrected by the accusation or criticism. Now, we can continue to feel guilty (unconscious this is) and deny responsibility, or accept what comes our way and take responsibility for it.

Our critic or accuser simply delivers a message to us. The message is: "How long do you want to continue to belittle yourself, feel guilty and be afraid? Accept this, yes, but stop playing the victim now. Guilt and shame are but an illusion. There is no right or wrong, only degrees of learning and growing. So there is no real reason to be ashamed of anything anymore, for your greatest weaknesses are also your greatest strengts and assets. No more need to defend who or what you are."

This means, through acceptance of our weaknesses that are pointed out to us by others, we not only end conflict but also empower ourselves. The weaknesses suddenly turn into gold. Of course, if someone criticizes you and you don't feel offended or affected by it, all this doesn't apply. The other person is no longer serving as a messenger for you but expresses his/her own dissatisfaction with himself/herself.

With my best wishes,
