Edgar Cayce of Vegetarianism

Hi Rudenski!

Edgar Cayce has a lot to say about Vegetarianism and meat. Most interesting things...I'll try to find it in some of my books.

Basically, I'm sure that Edgar Cayce would say NO to only the 'fried' part of the chicken that you're craving! (hydrogenated oil ick)

He said to stay away from beef (except for beef 'juice' which takes a while to make and it's for fatigue - building energy/blood) - never eat the flesh. Never eat pork (it causes stiffness and hardening of the joints).

He was big on fish and fowl.

He was very into balance (of course meat only being part of the 20% acid-forming foods allowed per day for optimum health)....and we do need some stuff that is in fish or fowl. (organic)

Just like you said...if your attitude towards the fish or fowl that you're eating is one of true, aware thankfullness then all is well.

I'll try to find that excerpt in the book about Vegetarianism...

wait a sec...

Whether an individual should eat meat or abstain has long been a disputed question among health-minded and spiritual-minded individuals. The attitude of the readings on this subject was definite and consistent. One individual was told:

"Meats of certain characters are necessary in the body building forces in this system and should not be wholly abstained from in the present. Spiritualize those influences, those activities, rather than abstaining." (interesting eh??)

and

"But purifying of mind is of the mind, not of the body. For, as the Master gave, it is not that which entereth in the body, but that which cometh out, that causes sin. It is what one does with the purpose; for all things are pure in themselves and are for the sustenance of man - body, mind and soul. And remember, these must work together."

Edgar Cayce

See? Does that not make absolute logical sense??? Yes!!

I hope this has set your mind at ease...
