A friend of mine is on his first day of a Bowel Cleanse using Millan Chessman bowel Home Cleansing kit. He does a water enema in the A.M. and P.M. So far he has taken the psyllium husk and Bentonite shakes followed by cleansing herb capsules 2 hours later. He did this set twice today. The last psyllium shake, taken alone, was taken 2 hours ago.
About an hour ago, he had to urinate for the 10th time today. This last time he had to sit on the commode for about an hour before he could "go" even though he had a strong urge. This caused him a great deal of discomfort. And when he finally started to urinate it was a slow, weak flow that stopped and started many times before finishing.
He knows the urination frequency is due to the amount of water he has been drinking today. But why did the flow act like it was constricted and why did it take so long?
He thinks he is tense over following this new procedure or "that his prostate is backed up." I realize it may feel that way, but he has not had any prostate problems for over a year, ever since he took a product (Peenuts) for it.
Did anybody else have this problem during the first ever cleanse, or any cleanse? And how did you solve it?
I read on the Bowel Facts website that similar problems are indications of bowel dysfunction. Is it possible that too much stool or expanded psyllium has collected somewhere and is pressing on the urethra, much like the prostate does when it is enlarged, restricting the flow of urine and causing pain? Should an extra enema be done at this time on a trial and error basis?
He is going to do the P.M. enema in the meantime because it may help.
He also takes heart medication for CHF (congestive heart failure) and there doesn't seem to be a problem with that.
