I doubt that lemon caused the problem to flare, but who knows. I'd wonder about your partner. Can he be re-infecting you? Perhaps you should massage his privates with coconut oil before sex. It is antibacterial, anti-viral and a terrific lube.

Using garlic as a suppository might also help. Take a lightly crushed clove, wrap it in cheesecloth, dip in olive or coconut oil and insert overnight. Tweet
