The eggs that you speak of are completely different. Exactly as you say, they do mix in fax and fish oil with their normal feed. One of the big sellers of this type was developed at the University of Nebraska Ag Department. They tout high omega 3 content but do not say "free range" or organic on the box. Their original attempts resulted in some really fishy tasting eggs. The current products still have a slightly fishy taste to them and are easily picked out when compared to how good the free range eggs taste.
