Re: could edema be caused by liver problems or heart

Edema is a problem with dehydration! Not enough water! Read "the Water Cure " documents here, they explain it pretty clearly. IF your husband's bloodwork included creatinine, BUN, potassium, sodium, phosphorous and calcium, and they were all fine, then his kidneys have not been compromised yet. Whew! :)

Have him switch from table salt to celtic Sea Salt .

Have him take the lemonade mixture for The Master Cleanse and have him add a little (1/2 tsp) celtic Sea Salt to each jar of lemonade mixture he drinks. This will re-hydrate him in no time! It's sad, but plenty of people here die of things like dysentary, where in India they know to drink this drink and don't die.

Also, he could have a problem with circulation, and the cayenne pepper will help with that. Cayenne pepper has been known to resolve heart attacks and strokes! :)

Once you've got his edema under control, start wtih the cleanses/flushes described here, especially the kidney cleanse. But don't stop there! All systems are compromised by a lack of water.

Regarding Homocysteine levels, "High" is a relative term. Remember, the "Normal" levels are simply average. To know what's high for your husband, or raised, you have to have a series of tests and see what the numbers are doing. The first one is the baseline, everything after that shows whether they are raising or falling. For instance, my liver enzymes are always within normal range, BUT compared to a test I took 9 months ago, have raised.

Getting his body clean - especially with Liver Flushing - will help this issue tremendously. Fat is metabolized in the liver. When the liver is congested, it cannot do its job properly, thus cholesterol levels raise, blood clots too much, etc. If you read the liver cleanse FAQ there are plenty of people (including me) who have lowered cholesterol and liver enzymes by doing the flush.

Hope that helps! :)
