Well, the tonsils and adenoids are part of the lymph system and they are responsible for catching germs when they enter the body. My son has had no problems with his tonsils nor adenoids; therefore, if obstruction is the issue, why should they take out both germ catchers when they can make them smaller instead.
Also, I had my tonsils out when I was younger and I gained weight. I've other people say the same thing.
Mainly, I just think that removing the only lymph in the nose and throat is not smart and will cause him to get illnesses easier.
