left shoulder/arm pain

Dear all,

I have had this pain since probably 10 years ago, caused by a re occuringsport-injury. It wasn't that bad, until 2-3 years ago. Get so annoying after a round of golf.

It starts from the top left shoulder (it's bit higher than the right shoulder), that always have this clicking/popping sound. And lately (since a year or two) the pain has extended to the upper left arm, especialy after golf.

But if I do stretching, reaching out to the side or simply doing a lat-pull down/up this pain ease a little. Swimming does it better.

What is this pain exactly ? DO I have any chance to cure this, without any surgery ?

Thanks..

golfy.
