I cant answer for sure if it is normal or not... but I can let you know of my experience when I cleanse....

So my major problem/illness' are Depression anxiety, confusion..... as well as things getting bright and unreal...

First time I ever fasted I did a water fast.... only for one day . This was several years ago, before the anxiety had come up.. and ways.. I was up all night, with excessive thought.. Depression and confusion....

Almost every cleanse since it has been the same... I get really anxious..with thoughts racing preventing me from sleep.. mood swings like craxy..and alot of life seeming unreal...
It is all very overwhelming.....

but then I noticed a patttern that when I was eliminating well (after a few liver flushes) I would feel totally symptom free... not even depressed...

and then when I flushed again..
more anxiety and depression...

So really what I am trying to say here, is that I believe that whatever way our toxins present themselves(illness) it is amplified in the healing process...because it is getting flushed out...

Go slow... listen to your body..and if you can stick it out.. then go for it.. i have a feeling that you will be much better for it....

Oh and some other things that may help the process are Epsom Salt baths... it will help get those toxins out.... i heard somewhere that Arthritis was the inability of the body to get rid of all the toxins... so it sounds like you are on your way to healing yourself..
