You may need to get an xray to see if you have a stone. I have had stones 3 times, and lithotripsy twice. Once on each kidney. If they are too big to pass, they need to be broken up through sound waves, such a lithotripsy. The stones can ostruct blood and urine flow, which can also cause more pain, because there are toxins building up. This can be dangerous, so I would suggest getting these tests done immediately.
