Re: Infection in finger. Any suggestions?

When I wedged a splinter very deep up on my nail bed under my fingernail (scrubbing the deck, I don't know, it just slid in.) I soaked it in a Grapefruit Seed Extract solution (the big sour pink or white citrus, not the little winemaking purple guys.) Filled a cup about 1/3 up with clean filtered water and dropped in about 10 drops of Grapefruit-Seed-Extract and soaked my finger for 10 to 15 minutes at the time, 2 or 3 times a day. It didn't get the splinter out, but it kept it from getting infected.

We added some Grapefruit-Seed-Extract to the water my husband used to soak his foot in after having a rather aggressively persistant plantars wart removed from his toe. It healed nicely without any sign or hint of infection. Oh, and I also use a very mild dilution of it to quickly drive back the odd stye that comes up - between wearing contacts and having candida imbalance I get them quite often. The Grapefruit-Seed-Extract really helps to get rid of them Quickly.

Just remember to dilute it - Do NOT use it full strength!!

More information here: GSE. No, I don't sell it or get royalties. I just like it. I found it at Nutrition Depot and Whole Foods Market, both pretty much comparably priced.
