I have made the cultured veggies according to the B.E.D. but the problem I have is that everyone complains when I open the jar. They can't stand the smell. Also, I made a batch and really stuffed my ball mason jars and probably didn't leave enough room in them and 1 jar exploded after 2 days. Two other jars were leaking and when I opened them it was like opening a bottle of shaken soda; liquid everywhere. Needless to say, the smell was around for a couple of days, the complaints I received...whew!
Anyone have any tips to combat this problem?
