Lean on us, we are your brethren. Vent your feelings, fears, mistrusts and confide in us. Jesus is not a snob and does not look down on you for your weakness and neither will we (we are His Body). Satan wants you to keep your "dirty little secret" so that it haunts you and prevents healing. Satan wants you to use your conscience to feel guilty, not for remorse that would keep you on the straight and narrow. Have you ever seen the theatrical depiction of someone trying to figure out how to handle a moral dilemma? A little devil stands on one shoulder and a little angel on the other shoulder, each trying to influence the person's conscience. Satan tries to stir our conscience to produce guilt and self-consciousness, low self-esteem and depression. Through our conscience, the Lord will teach us (if we let Him)remorse (sorrow, the precursor of love) so that we can repent and grow. So, be aware of the tricks of satan, but never fear, the Lord (and His body) is with you always, but it would help to rid yourself of (share) your "dirty little secret" WHEN you feel ready.
