the atmosphere for purity between teens is not strong. probably a twofold reason motivates the media to market to teens: because they have buying power, and to indoctrinate them into a slavish life of promiscuity (still based upon money). yes, it is up to the parents to protect and train their children in morality and wisdom. but with an industry that is so pervasive in every aspect of life, the teens are left with temptation; unchecked by negligent parents.
we see drinking and smoking ads asking adults and children to work together against underage usage. why do we not see these responsible attempts within the media? is the soft and hard p 0 r n not as problematic as these other vices? is the material not as pervasive in the public? ok, we give them condoms, and put black windows over private parts, but isn't this an indirect effort? tell the public, 'we sell p 0 r n, but don't give it to kids'. the devestating results from p 0 r n are just as serious as from legal chemical abuse.
i see a similarity between a computer virus and s/h p 0 r n. our society is embedded with something that exploits our sexual nature. we won't be able to simply delete the problem, but must have a program that will root out and quarantine from our natural motivations.
children carry into adulthood their influences and tendencies. will they know any other choice than that which embeds their thinking? without prevention, these adults influenced by p 0 r n will propagate its influence to future children/teens.
