Indeed! The penetration test was done with the following:
I used a coil identical to the coil in the Hand Paddle of the MPG unit. The coil has 270 turns of 18 gauge (AWG) wire. I then connected an LED Light to the wires of the coil. I also used a diode to protect the LED against reverse voltage and I used a small 1uF capacitor to store some of the voltage from the coil so it would light up the LED. Now, since the magnetic field is a DC output, the receiving coil works only in one orientation.
I the placed the coil on the otherside of my neck and placed the MPG coil on the direct opposite side. On each pulse the LED on the receiving coil lit up! I measured the maximum distance to be 9 inches (+/- 1 inch). That is how I was able to determine the actual penetration. This is a "perfect" way to test the MPG's output!
Hope this helps!
