Re: new to coconut oil - some question

Hi journ,

"Cold-pressed" means almost nothing where VCO is concerned, virtually all virgin coconut oil is cold-pressed.

The reason companies make a point of mentioning that their oil is cold-pressed, is to try and confuse the customer into believing the oil is "cold-processed".

Cold-pressed oils are invariably heated later in the production process.

If you are looking for the most natural oil, which has retained all its nutrients and antioxidants, then it has to be COLD-PROCESSED.

Better still, look for ANH ( Absolutely No Heat ) oil.

Regards,

Steve
