Suzy-Qs

Suzy-Q's are a snack cake made by Hostess. The cakes are chocolate with a white filling. The taste isn't even that good anymore... not anything like I remember from my childhood. You know what just dawned on me though? Hostess uses animal fat for most of their snack cakes. Most likely, that means pork... something I gave up years ago. That could be why the taste isn't even that appealing now.

If I were to tell DH that I was fasting, he would deliberately bring junk to me. I kid you not, back when I used to really like Suzy-Q's whenever I went on a diet he would buy a box of 10 for me. From toddlerhood up till they could read, my kids really thought it was diet food, because that was the only time it was in our house! It is odd that DH bought me these now since I didn't mention my fast. However, it is quite likely my 5 year old told him I was fasting. Tweet
