In the original Hebrew text the lads were actually men.

""For Thou didst form my inward parts; Thou didst weave me in my mother's womb. ""
Part of Psalm 139:13-16

Once God "weaved me in my mother's womb", meaning CONCEPTION, then you are a living being needing only time (9 months) for full development.

A fern seed, once it's fertilized, is a baby fern. So it is with people.
