I used to drink a lot of a black tea with sugar, I used to eat a lot of home style jams.
The solution for me was to stop putting any sugar in my tea and eat only honey. For a few years now I don't drink black tea. Reason one- they don't sell the right stuff, and two - I found better things. GCG for example. Sometimes herbal – rosehip, red bush.
Now I take a bit of honey on occasion, not every day and no sugar at all. I eat only natural foods and raw not processed grains. I hate muesli like mixes, they are poison! Sometimes I like honeycomb. There is the way to get of sugar, also you might take a lot of honey in the beginning, later on you drop amounts. The key is the pure taste of tea. Sugar takes it away.
