With dedicated reading and understanding all will become clear in a very logical way. All food is medicine, some good, some bad. At the same time, the particular qualities of certain foods can serve as special medicines for certain conditions. If you do not have proper understanding sickness is easily created with improper food combinations. For instance, if you eat two foods at the same time that are both Ying or both yang....for instance...mint with potatoes...a very common occurance in the West . This combination is very toxic for our bodies ...also pork and fish ..a combination beloved by many East Europeans....egg and garlic. All diffficulties are caused not by external factors, but by ourselves.The practice of Macrobiotics really means the way to a long life, based on healthy living.
I really am quite bemused, even confused by all the talk of this or that'diet'! You can spend your whole life chasing you tail, or the elixir of life !Give yourselves the freedom to think, investigate foods for yourself and most of all listen to what your body is telling you and learn to interpret those needs.Nobody else can do it for you.
