CT Revealed Calcified Appendix

I JUST got back from having a CT done this morning to test for kidney stones. On the CT they noticed something and they didn't know what it was at first. I went to Saint Louis University. After much waiting, they said I have a calcified appendix. I was in such a hurry to get to the office so I don't have to use a sick day that I didn't ask them what it means. All they said was that it didn't have to come out. (Surprise, surprise.) I searched the web and CZ and there's not much understandable info out there. What the heck does this mean? Thanks!
