If it's grocery store cream (pasteurized and homogenized) it should be "good" for a week after the expiration date. On dairy the expiration date is more of a Sell By date. If it has been refrigerated and still smells and tastes fine and doesn't have any sign of mold it's ok to eat it.

That's why they pasturize it, to extend the shelf life.
