just that- some individual's opinion. If anyone can come up with a citation from say the Journal of Clinical Oncology or other like scientific journal where a controlled study was run on cottage cheese + flax oil for canine cancer then please do so.
There are two themes that play into "cures for cancer":
1. The desperation of the patients to grasp at any hope. I went through it with my Lymphoma puppy of 11 years. If there was just the slightest hint that a supplement might help, I added it to her diet. But supplements were an adjunct to Chemotherapy, not a substitute.
2. The lack of clinical trials to back up the claims. For example with a given cancer in the dog: Feed 50 cancer dogs flax oil + cottage cheese per the described diet, feed 50 cancer dogs just fish oil, and feed 50 their normal dog food. While at it give 50 the usual Chemotherapy (if appropriate for the cancer). What are the results?
Chances are you will not find any such clinical trials be it dogs or humans.
Having someone usually with a vested interest in the sales of the product produce a miracle testimonial doesn't make it fact. So I'm a little skeptical of the Shilo stories of the world.
