Blue Dog Food

Hello,

I wanted to give you a book and a few links that could be helpful in your decisions regarding dog food. I am using Blue by Blue Buffalo which is readily available at any PetSmart or through the mail.

The links below are for Dr. Goldstein's veterinarian clinic, which really has no information of great importance. I included it as reference, and who knows, it might expand someday. The 2nd link is for his brother's web site. His brother and he found through alternative treatment experience a new food was needed. That is how Blue was born. The 3rd link is for the Blue Buffalo site itself.

"The Nature Of Animal Healing" by Martin Goldstein, D.V.M, is a book that I found through reading books to better the health of myself and my husband.

It has changed the way I look at my "Old Pup" who is an eleven year old schnauzer. He had allergies and growths galore, was getting lethargic and very white. His eyes had lost their luster, and he just slept all the time with no interest in his toys anymore. He had been on shots and pills for years for his allergies and they only relieved the symptoms short term. Several surgeries to test and remove a few of the growths that got large with no relief. I also wanted to mentioned he had been on all sorts of dog foods for pups with allergies, including ones available by prescription only and still no change.

After reading just the first few chapters of this book I have changed his diet to Blue and he is truly like a "Young Pup" again! I have not furthered any supplements at this time and he is not on any shots or pills as I took him off. It has been about 5 months now and he is so full of energy and his eyes look alive again. Plus his fur is darker again, he is a dark gray with white paws. His allergies are really minimal now as well. His ears itch less and less as time has gone by and his sneezing and sinus flare ups are down to minimal. Better than the shots or pills ever did and without the side effects. One of the things that happened when I first switched him over was about the third day he got extremely ill and laid around, after that, the energy he had was extreme! I was out of shape for it, LOL. I expected him to get sick around the 3rd day as I also am reading about Macrobiotics which is mentioned in Dr. Goldstein's book, haha.

I put nothing on his food and he fasted for about one day before he began to eat it as is. This is recommended in the book and it did not seem to hurt him at all to go one day, in fact, he seemed kinda perky from the short fast.

I certainly hope I have been somewhat helpful and know I will continue to study through this book. I have just started him on a parasite purge using Clarkia and My next plan of action is to put him on some supplements. Eventually, I plan to make his treats and MAYBE his food at home.

The whole reason I came to his health is the attempt to better mine and my husband's. It is a good feeling to know I can do something all the way around our family.

Good Luck & Happy Tails!

"The Nature Of Animal Healing" by Martin Goldstein, D.V.M, is a book recommended in the Dr. Hulda Clark book " The Cure For All Diseases ". That is how I found it and am still reading through it.
