Liquid Lecithin Question

I just received my gallon of liquid lecithin from MH. He stated that the lecithin MUST be heated to a liquid state before adding it 50/50 to extra virgin olive oil. Does anyone have a tip on the best method to turn lecithin into a liquid. I tried putting a small amount in a glass jar and sitting it in a sauce pan of simmering water. The lecithin did become more liquid but it was still very gooey. Or is it supposed to still be gooey once it is heated. I would appreciate any help as I am anxious to start taking this.
