Re: Aunty/Others inclined to respond:)

My personal experience with eczema comes from 30+ years of watching my mother suffer with eczema. I knew that the major contributor for my mother's longterm suffering was induced by the medications and treatments prescribed by her physician. I knew that the treatment prescribed by the multitude of physicians/specialist never addressed the behaviors that were promoting my mother's eczema suffering. They simply suppressed the symptoms, which would ensure a longterm patient. I knew that my mother's nutritional habits were horrific and wondered why the doctors never addressed it. My mother never drank water. Her water was Pepsi or Coke. Her diet has been equally horrific over these many years; yet when she has been prompted to question the doctors regarding the importance of good nutrition and water when it came to her skin care, the doctors would respond that drinking water or a healthy Diet really had no significance when it came to eczema.

My years of frustration with the medical community came to a head at the birth of my nieces who were diagnosed with atopic eczema in their infancy. Because I knew of harsh effects of the medications prescribed to treat eczema and the longterm suffering they would bring, I was determined to not let this path be the path for my nieces. I took their care into my own hands and attacked eczema with a healthy, practical approach. To my great joy, built upon the basis that the medical community never addressed the obvious cause or causes of eczema in their approach to healing, I received successful (longterm results) in the treatment of severe eczema within weeks. Most importantly, this success came without the use of medications. My oldest niece has been eczema free for six years, the middle niece for four years and the youngest for two years.

The fact that the medical community doesn't have a cure for eczema didn't cause me to fear; especially since the medical community's idea of a cure means permanent symptom suppression. The symptoms that the body send are to help aide in the healing process by signaling that something is wrong. What I did was to work with the body by understanding the message that the symptom was sending. This approach is much different than symptom suppression. The body will heal itself of an eczema reaction when you know how to respond to its cry for help...
