No, you are on the right track. Perhaps switch to the SCDiet (not much of a switch) and add some ozonated water. If found the o3 water did two things for me; it clears the first part of your SI and stomach from any candida (SCDiet depends on the sugars being absorbed there) and miraculously also helped with GI bacteria.
Adding water soluble fiber to your diet to catch the toxins the liver spews out works wonders also: Konjacu from http://www.konjacfoods.com is the best and cheapest for that.
The SCDiet (SCDiet.org) does wonders with intestinal bacteria and should help.
MSM as per my profile is also an important factor to help with cell strengthening.
