Thanks. I do hope that I did not stupidly expose myself to this affliction.

I am still close with my dogs. Not so close as to be in water with them however. They might catch something. :-)

But, according to a U.C. Davis entomologist, the sand fly usually becomes infected after feeding on an infected dog or other domestic animal.

I could have been bitten by a sand fly. Who knows.

Do you know how I could get tested?
