SR ( Skilled Relaxation ) Means any relaxation technique or practice that induces a deep state of relaxation of both the body and mind ( characterized by an Alpha or Theta brainwave ). Examples are Centerpoint, autogenics, biofeedback, breathing techniques, t'ai chi, or yoga. Just to name a few. Any technique that induces a relaxed state can be used. Twice a day for 20 minutes. Now you don't fall asleep, but you are tolaly relaxed. There are lots of books on SR, but Recapture Your Health is one that covers it very nicely.
I can find the Zone while driving a car, flying in a plane and sitting at the computer. A trained Zen Master can do it all day long. I can do it for about an hour.
How has it helped me? At 65 I am in the best health I can remember. No colds, flu, aches or pains. No headaches. Boundless energy. Of course I do lots more. Diet, exercise, detox, sauna, ect.
