Still Oil Pulling with good results
Hi !
I still am oil pulling- but it is very hard for me to get past 15 minutes- especially when I am late for work every morning as it is- and my father is banging on the door to use the bathroom..lol!
But I am having good results at 15 minutes though.
Last 2 weeks I have been recovering from an upper respitory infection. While oil pulling I immediately have to cough up phlegm-- which is a good thing! Seems the oil pulling is encouraging removal of sinus mucous.
After a week of NO drugs or anti-biotics as usual- and a week full of fruits and veggies, distilled water, herbal teas and fruit juices, mom's home-made chili with garlic and hot cayenne--- and oil pulling each morning, My laryngitis is 100% gone and I am now better!!--woooohooo!!!
I will continue to oil pull as I can see my gums are alot healthier and my teeth seem whiter- and my sinuses are overjoyed :-)
Eventually I think I will be able to get to 20 minutes-- and carry a cup with me to spit into if my father forces me out of the bathroom...lol
PS. My friends and family can't understand why I didn't go to a doctor. With every cough, My mother kept insisting i get an anti-biotic. The body can heal itself without anti-biotics if given the right nutrients, rest, liquids and detoxing. People seem to think coughing is a BAD thing and cough medicines are designed to inhibit coughing. When with each cough you are expelling mucous,--then that should be encouraged!-- as long as you cough into a tissue and not in everyone's direction.
With Oil pulling, the mucous just came right up with no need to cough it up.
By the way-- this makes me laugh..lol: This Thursday my co-workers rudely stuck a bottle of Purel anti-bacterial crap on my desk--right in front. Instead of using that, I kept washing my hands with natural anti-bacterial soap, washed my desk surface and keyboard, and sprayed lysol all over my area to keep them happy. Luckily I didnt have to stick around to breathe in the Lysol.
