The Body Ecology Diet, by Donna Gates, uses food combining. You do no sugars for a while, food combining, pH balance, and some other things. Anyway, it's an anti-candida diet, but I think most people around here would learn from it and or/like it. If I were new to all of this stuff I would get that book because it has so much info in one place.
I think her allowed grains are amaranth, millet and quinoa. Something like that.
Anyway, I really recommend it. I did it one summer and had so much energy. I could not quite do it all the way as there were a few things I could not give up, but food combining definitely gave me more energy and a happier tummy -- and that's always good!
