if you are speaking of a root canaled tooth, you will have more jawbone problems if you leave it in.  if you are speaking of a non-root-canaled tooth, yes there can be problems, but going to a biologic dentist lessens the chances, because they will remove the periodontal ligament when they pull the tooth.  you can have recession of the jaw and that is individual, but if you have an abcessed or root canaled tooth, it is best to have it removed.
